The Florida State Seminoles already lost their first game of the 2024 season against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Ireland. Florida State once again lost to the Boston College Eagles on Monday night at home by a final score of 28-13.
The Seminoles were ranked #10 entering this matchup with the Eagles. D.J. Uiagalelei had another performance for Florida State to forget about.
Florida State Seminoles Fans Call For Quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei To Be Benched
In the game against the Boston College Eagles on Monday night, Uiagalelei completed 21-of-42 passes for 272 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He looked awful all night long against Boston College. This was not the first time in his college football career that he has looked bad in college football games. It will be interesting to see if the Florida State Seminoles will make a quarterback change at some point during the 2024 college football season. Florida State can not afford to go to 0-3. It would put their college football playoff hopes in danger for the 2024 season. They are already 0-2 in ACC Conference play and that is not a good thing for the Seminoles.
The Seminoles Quarterback Transfered a Couple Of Times and Was Also a 5-star Recruit
In the 2020 recruiting class, the Seminoles quarterback was a five-star recruit for the Clemson Tigers. He did not perform well with the Clemson Tigers and transferred to the Oregon State Beavers. DJ Uiagalelei also was ranked ahead of C.J. Stroud in the 2020 quarterback recruiting rankings.
C.J. Stroud went on to play college football with the Ohio State Buckeyes. C.J. Stroud is now one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL with the Houston Texans. DJ Uiagalelei won’t be able to play quarterback at the next level unless he switches positions.
