Florida State: College Football Fans Getting the Last Laugh with Florida State losing to Georgia tech

The Florida State Seminoles traveled to Dublin , Ireland for their season opener against Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon. It did not go as planned for the Seminoles, they ended up losing in the final seconds when Georgia Tech’s kicker made the game winning field goal as time expired.

Florida State last season went 13-0 and ended up not making the CFP playoffs. They were not selected by the CFP committee due to that their starting quarterback Jordan Travis went down with a leg injury. After being left out of the playoffs, FSU fans and the school stated they will sue the ACC and wanting to leave to going to the SEC or Big 10 Conference.

College Football Fans Get Last Laugh at Florida State After Season Opener Loss

College football fans ended up taking to social media after the Seminoles lost to Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon. X formerly known as (Twitter) exploded with comments. Josh Graham from the Josh Graham Show posted ” The ACC should consider sueing FSU for this performance.” Another X user said “Ahh now I see why FSU is so desperate to leave the ACC.”

This ACC game had trick plays, impossible field goal attempts and an underwhelming performance by FSU’s quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. The result impacts Florida State’s chances to making the playoffs this season. The road for FSU will get tougher for making the playoffs leaving their scenario to only winning the ACC title to make the CFP.

Florida State University Football Season Not Off To A Great Start

At the begining of preseason, ESPN had made a bold prediction that FSU would be the number three seed overall and make the ACC title game. Obviously with the outcome of yesterdays game this prediction is no longer valid. Florida State now finds themselves in ahole in the standings despite only playing one game of the start of the season.

FSU will need to regroup and evaluate what went wrong against Georgia Tech in order to move forward and have a successful season. As social media continues to rip apart FSU for making a scene last year the fans will continue to roll with the comments until FSU can figure things out. Now 14th ranked Clemson Tigers will have a  chance to the ACC conference along with ranked 19th Miami. Clemson will start their season against number 1 ranked Georgia and Miami will take on the Florida Gators.
