Florida and Georgia are currently playing in one of the best rivalries in college football, and freshman quarterback DJ Lagway wanted to have an iconic moment like Gator quarterbacks of the past.
A few weeks ago, Lagway was named the full-time starter after Graham Mertz suffered a season-ending injury. Lagway also suffered a major injury during the first half against the Bulldogs.
Lagway had to be carted off the field, and head coach Billy Napier said going into the half that his quarterback most likely suffered a severe hamstring injury.
It was sad to see Lagway being carted off the field, and both teams came over to him and wished him all the best.
