It is about that time in the week where you need to lock in who is going to be in your fantasy football lineups going into this weekend’s slate of games in the NFL. Whether you are trying to end a losing skid or making a push for a playoff spot, it is important to put in the players that will get you the maximum number of points. Here are the players you should start heading into week nine:

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t live up his MVP season that he had a year ago. Rodgers has yet to get it going in fantasy this year and this can be the week to unleash im against the Detroit Lions. The veteran quarterback is coming off a 203 yards and two touchdowns performance against the Bills.

The Lions are one of the worst defenses in fantasy against the quarterback position. Detroit has allowed 22 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, which ranks second-most in the league. Pair Detroit’s struggles and Rodgers past history against the Lions, he is in play for a fantasy start this week.

Against the Lions, Rodgers has averaged 25 fantasy points per game as he had past success against Detroit’s defense.

Aaron Jones has been inconsistent this year in fantasy. He has had weeks where he has put up the production that fantasy managers are looking for and in other weeks it can leave you scratching your head. Jones is coming off a season-high in rushing yards this season with 143 against a solid Buffalo defensive front seven.

Once again we are picking on the Detroit Lions defense in this matchup as they have given up the fifth-most fantasy points per game against running backs, 27.4. There are similarities with his quarterback Rodgers as Jones has also had recent success against the Lions defense.

The ceiling is high for Jones against a suspect rush defense so feel confident in starting him this week, especially after a strong performance in Buffalo.

Wide Receiver Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints

Chris Olave has become Andy Dalton’s favorite target with the absence of Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry. With the news yesterday of Thomas being out for the season that opens up the door for Olave to become the No. 1 wide receiver on the Saints offense. Olave is coming off hauling in five receptions for 52 yards against the Raiders.

This week Olave will face off against a Ravens defense that has allowed 39.7 fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position, which ranks fourth-most in the NFL. The Ravens secondary is filled with some talent that can pose a challenge to the rookie wide receiver, but fantasy owners shouldn’t be worried as Olave as been one of the most consistent fantasy wide receivers this year.

He can be trusted to score double-digit fantasy points this week, so feel safe of starting Olave as he goes up against the Ravens defense.

Tight End Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers

Gerald Everett and the Los Angeles Chargers are coming off of the bye week as they look to start the second half of their season. The tight end position can be a hard spot for fantasy owners to navigate, but Everett has been one of the more consistent options this year. Everett currently averages 9.9 fantasy points per game this season.

Coming out of the bye week, Everett and the Chargers will face the Atlanta Falcons in week nine. The Falcons defense has struggled against the tight end position as they have given up 15.8 fantasy points per game, which ranks fourth-most in the league. Another factor into Everett being listed as a start of the week is that Mike Williams will miss this weekend’s game against Atlanta.

Williams being out will provide increased volume to the veteran tight end. Everett has been one of the top streaming options at the tight end position and this week does not change that narrative.
