Shedeur Sanders was put on the “IR” list ahead of the Browns’ game against the New England Patriots in week 8, followed by a bye week for Kevin Stefanski’s team.
The ex-Colorado quarterback was informed to have a back injury, for which he also took a trip to Colorado and get his treatment there, while also meeting his dad, Deion Sanders.

Many fans are not happy with how the Browns are treating Shedeur Sanders in terms of zero playing time and no reps with the first team, despite him being their backup quarterback.
Shedeur was reported to return to practice on Thursday as the Cleveland Browns gear up to go against the New York Jets in week 10. Reacting to this, some fans expressed their thoughts:
“Man this back looked completely fine running up and down sidelines at CU over the weekend. He’s a circus.” One fan added.
“Isn’t it interesting how as soon as Stefanski gives up play calling, Shedeur is feeling better and all good to practice again?.” another fan conspired.
“So the conspiracy back injury was to hold him out for 1 game + 1 practice. Cool. Got it. Makes perfect sense.” another fan commented.
“We are a Gabriel pulled hamstring away from the rebirth of the Cleveland Browns! Let’s go..” another fan playfully wrote.
“Honestly, what took them so long? I’ve never understood the thinking of not strengthening your bench at some level…with all sport teams.” another fan questioned.
“In trying to sabotage Shedeur Stefanski not only destroyed his career because he’s about to be fired but also Dillon Gabriel’s too because now no other team will want him.” another fan added.
Deion Sanders Opens Up About Shedeur Sanders Meeting Him in Colorado
While Deion Sanders was thrilled to be surprised by his son’s Colorado visit, he shared that a moment that would’ve meant so much to him was dampened by the current state that the Buffaloes are going through.
Colorado has been going through a rough patch as it faced two back-to-back blowout losses against Utah and Arizona.
During the post-game press conference after the Arizona game, Deion was asked about his son’s surprise, to which he said:
“These shenanigans put a damper on it. I haven’t seen my son in a long time. Forget the game. Forget this. Forget that. I haven’t seen my son in a long time, so that was quite emotional for me, him surprising me today in the office.” Deion Sanders said
During Deion Sanders Jr.’s vlog, Shedeur was seen surprising his dad in his office and playfully said he’s here because he knows Coach Prime needs him, as Colorado sits at 3-6 so far this season.
In his response, Deion hilariously said he knew Shedeur needed it, too, during his Browns quarterback situation.
