The Ravens and Lamar are Expected to “Fly High” this Season.

What started as a promising start to the 2021 season all came crashing down when Lamar Jackson suffered a bone bruise in his foot. Last years Ravens started eight and three and were looking like a lock to win the division. The Ravens then went on to lose their final 6 games and finished last place in the division with an eight and nine record.

Now the Ravens come into the new NFL season with high expectations. The Ravens are still led by head coach John Harbaugh and former MVP quarter back Lamar Jackson. Its hard to count this loaded Ravens team out of super bowl contention. Last season, the Ravens also lost star corner backs Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphreys to injury. Rookie running back J.K Dobbins also suffered a season ending injury. Now with both corner backs and their young running back almost to full strength, the Ravens will be much better on both sides of the ball. The Ravens did lose their star wide receiver Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals, however they still have Pro bowl tight end Mark Andrews. With wide receiver Rashod Bateman on the rise, and of course Lamar Jackson at quarter back, there is little concern from me on this Ravens offense.

AFC North Division Winner Bet – Ravens

Baltimore Ravens are ready for the 2022-2023 season

This season, the Ravens win total is set at 9.5 but is heavily juiced to the over at -175. I do expect the Ravens to win 10 games this season but I am going to avoid laying the -175 juice. Instead, I am taking the Ravens to win their division the AFC North at +130. One team in the division I worry about is the Bengals, but we all know how bad the super bowl hangover hits NFL teams. Though I expect the Bengals to still be a good football team, I don’t consider them in the same tier as this experienced and now healthy Ravens team. I’ll gladly take my plus odds and roll with the Ravens to “Fly high” and win the AFC North division this season.
