The Kansas City Chiefs added a couple of running backs in recent days to add depth to their backfield. The Chiefs needed to bolster their running back unit, as the team revealed on Monday they would place Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the NFI list to start the regular season.
Edwards-Helaire will miss at least the first four weeks of the regular season. The Chiefs added a running back to the 53-man roster on Friday. They signed another running back to the practice squad over the weekend.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed 2 RBs in recent days

Per the Chiefs website, the team signed former Denver Broncos running back Samajae Perine on Friday. Perine is a veteran and has played with several teams since he joined the league in 2017. He played for the Denver Broncos last season.
Perine was used as a receiving back in the Broncos offense. He recorded 455 yards receiving and 238 yards rushing.
TCU standout Emani Bailey signed with the Chiefs practice squad

On Saturday, the Chiefs signed running back Emani Bailey to the practice squad. Bailey is an undrafted rookie free agent out of TCU. Bailey signed with the Chiefs this spring, He was waived following training camp.
Bailey started his college career at Louisiana before transferring to TCU. He ran 366 times for 2,161 yards and 18 touchdowns during his college career. He recorded 47 receptions for 380 yards and one touchdown in college.
The Chiefs have three running backs on the 53-man roster: Isiah Pacheco, Carson Steele, and Perine. The Chiefs have running backs Keaontay Ingram and Emani Bailey on the practice squad.
Bailey will give the Chiefs another option to elevate to the active roster for gameday until Edwards-Helaire can return.
