Who stands to lose more in the feud between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump? For one Fox News reporter, talking to analyst Stephen A. Smith, the tech mogul and billionaire has a lot to lose compared to the President.
In one of the recent episodes of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” the ESPN analyst had Fox News host and political commentator Will Cain as a guest, and he gave his honest insight on who he thinks would stand as the bigger loser at the end of the feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
“I think there’s limited damage for Trump,” Cain said. “There’s a floor on the amount of damage that Musk can do to Trump. And there is much more potential loss for Musk.”
Cain noted that Musk does have government contracts, and that he doesn’t think that the billionaire cares as much about EV tax credits, as he is more passionate about space, NASA, and SpaceX.
“And he stands to lose on one of his biggest passions should he make a complete enemy of the President of the United States.”

Cain also noted the difference between where Musk and Trump stand. He noted that Trump was elected by the people, while Myusk risks damaging his credibility if he continues to make an enemy out of the President of the United States.
“That doesn’t mean there’s a lot of people that might have been persuaded to his side because of the influence of Musk,” he added. “But in the end, he is the man that’s elected to be the president of the United States. And I think there’s a floor on the amount of damage.”

The relationship between Elon Musk and Donald Trump recently went into a total fallout, following Musk’s criticisms of the One Big Beautiful Bill, which Trump has openly pushed.
Political Hot Believes Democracy May Not Be For Elon Musk
In the same episode of the podcast, Will Cain also noted how the reason for the fallout between Elon Musk and Donald Trump can be traced deeper to how Musk thinks and works, and how the democratic system in the government works.

Cain noted how he believes that Elon Musk is a “Thomas Edison-level” genius, but despite that, it is also the same level of intellect that made him not work with how politics and the government work.
Prior to his fallout with Trump, Elon Musk had resigned from his role on the Department of Government Efficiency, and initially expressed that he would keep a consultancy role.
