On Friday, the Buffalo Bills revealed devastating news for the team with two days to go before their matchup with the Houston Texans. Both teams are entering Week 5 with 3-1 records, and the winner of the contest could go a long way in determining playoff seeding for the AFC in January.
The Bills and Texans have another unique headline for the game. Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs is set to play his former team after the offseason trade. Diggs and the Bills had a sort of falling out before the trade, and emotions could be high between the star receiver and Buffalo.
The Bills have unfortunate news for their top pass-catching target. Khalil Shakir has taken over the role Diggs used to fill in Buffalo. He has 18 receptions for 230 yards and two touchdowns through the first games of the season.
The Buffalo Bills ruled two starters out for Week 5
Per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Shakir will not play against the Texans due to an ankle injury. The Bills also ruled out defensive tackle Ed Oliver due to a hamstring injury.

Oliver has recorded five tackles and one sack on the year.
Josh Allen needs players to step up
With the Bills losing Shakir against the Texans, quarterback Josh Allen will need to rely on his second-leading target, tight end Dalton Kincaid. He has 13 receptions for 132 yards and a touchdown this season.
Rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman will need to step us as well. The Florida State standout caught his first touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3. He caught three passes for 51 yards in the Bills’ 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.
