It’s only been one day of training camp practice for the Philadelphia Eagles and their quarterback heading into his 3rd season has already shown improvement. It’s still very early to make any big assumptions, however, a positive first outing is a great first impression. The Eagles have high expectations this year as they have improved in almost every category. The offense looks to be deadly on paper with a lot to look forward to. Bringing in A.J Brown, a number one projected offensive line, and a hungry backfield ready to make strong return is among many of them. Here we can see early camp positives for Jalen Hurts.

Improvements
Jalen Hurts has shown much improvement on his first day at training camp of 2022. His decision making looked faster compared to last season. His ability to read the play and get rid of the ball quickly will prevent those “what if’s” as he missed out on some potentially big plays last year. Day one this year ended with 12/15, 4 TDs, and 1 INT. Compared to 2021s first day 5/14, 2 TDs, and 1 INT. Obviously the biggest first day improvement here is his ability to connect and his QB vision. The Eagles offense has everything Hurts needs to have a breakout monster season. This first impression is (hopefully) telling of future practices and the transition to the regular season.
Other Notable Positives
Along with a solid first outing. The Eagles have been doing a better job communicating.

Communication is the only way to fix problems on the fly and have an air tight game plan where all the players understand. Hurts and his team having that already is something that will only improve their game moving forward. Also, A.J. Brown mentioned that he showed up to practice early with Hurts and DeVonta Smith.

The motivation to be better and the energy Jalen Hurts brings to the team is unmatched. There are still questions on the table for Hurts having a stellar year and it’s only been ONE day. Overall, based on this first outing, there are more early camp positives for Jalen Hurts than negatives and maybe an early small sigh of relief for Philadelphia.
