The Philadelphia Eagles are going into the 2025 season looking to defend their title. Philadelphia figures to enter the season as one of the best teams in the league, and will be put to the test early. Their first three games come against the Cowboys, Chiefs, and Rams.
However, one playmaker won’t be there this season.
Breaking: Eagles Shockingly Release 19-Touchdown Playmaker (Report)

Only two days after the era of Ife Adeyi began, the Eagles ended it:
The team announced that they waived the rookie wide receiver, who had signed with the team on Wednesday and was hoping to compete for a spot on the roster. The Eagles made the move to clear the way for another addition, which came as a bit of a surprise.
As Eagles reporter John McMullen noted, the Eagles had put in a waiver claim on former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Keilan Robinson and ended up landing him. McMullen noted that the Eagles appeared a bit unprepared, needing to cut ties with Adeyi to make room for Robinson.
“#Eagles waive WR Ife Adeyi to make room, who had just signed on June 4,” McMullen shared in a post on X. “At No. 32 in waiver-wire priority, there might be some surprise when you’re actually awarded a claim.”

Robinson joined the Jaguars as a fifth-round pick last season and appeared in six games, returning two kicks for 34 total yards. He appeared in only five offensive snaps, playing mostly on special teams.
Adeyi had participated in the Eagles’ rookie minicamp after going undrafted. The 5-foot-10 wide receiver had a prolific collegiate career at Sam Houston State, finishing his tenure there with 164 receptions for 2,312 yards and 19 touchdowns. He added 306 total rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
