Eagles Fans Completely Disown Nick Sirianni After Publicly Addressing Altercation

The Philadelphia Eagles are 3-2 and coming off a 20-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns.  Their record is good enough for second in the NFC East, behind only the Washington Commanders (4-2).

Near the end of their win over the Browns, head coach Nick Sirianni was caught on camera interacting with fans… not in a good way.  He addressed it following the game, but it wasn’t received well.

According to our very own Jordan Sigler:

Off the bye, the Eagles came out and won unconvincingly against one of the worst teams in the league. The Browns are a dumpster fire this season, as Cleveland is handicapped by being held hostage by the worst NFL contract in the league’s history with Deshaun Watson.

The Eagles were tied 10-10 at halftime to a Browns team that has won just one game all season. When Philadelphia was getting set to take a knee to end the game with a 20-16 score over a 1-5 Cleveland team, Sirianni thought it would be classy to go over to the bleachers to make rude gestures to the audience at Lincoln Financial Field.

Sirianni responded to this incident:

In the wake of a massive fan outcry after his post-game antics Sunday, Sirianni on Monday apologized for his behavior in his weekly day-after-the-game Zoom call with the Philly media.

“What I was really doing, I was trying to bring energy yesterday, energy, enthusiasm, and I’m sorry and disappointed on how my energy was directed at the end of the game,” he said.

“And, you know, my energy should be all in on coaching, motivating and celebrating with our guys. And so I’ve got to have better wisdom and discernment of when to use that energy and that wasn’t the time.”

Sirianni was seen on the FOX broadcast in the final seconds of the Eagles’ win over the Browns barking at fans in the stands at the Linc, presumably in response to the booing he heard early in the game and chants for him to be fired.

Eagles fans were convinced of the apology:
