The Philadelphia Eagles are going into week eight trying to keep pace with the Washington Commanders in the NFC East. Philadelphia is 4-2 and will take on the 3-4 Cincinnati Bengals on the road this Sunday.
However, some new announced by the team had fans in shambles on Friday.
Eagles Fans Erupt Over Huge Team Announcement (Report)
Our very own Matt Lombardo covered the news earlier today:
Friday afternoon, the Eagles announced on the final injury report of the week that tight end Dallas Goedert will miss his second consecutive game.
Goedert, who has caught 24 passes for 301 yards in five games this season, as one of Hurts’ top targets, suffered a hamstring injury in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.
With Goedert once again sidelined, the Eagles will turn to Grant Calcaterra to take on an expanded role. He’s caught nine passes for 128 yards so far this season.
Without Goedert, Hurts will likely feature wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith even more prominently as the Eagles could also further commit to a heavy dose of running back Saquon Barkley, in the wake of his 176-yard and one touchdown outburst against the New York Giants last Sunday afternoon.
Fingers crossed for a speedy return for Dallas after this.
