The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their second Super Bowl victory in franchise history. Their dominant 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs cemented their place atop the football world for one year.
However, as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, Philadelphia may be on the verge of trading away one of their best players.
Breaking: Eagles On The Brink Of Doing The Unthinkable (Report)

The storyline surrounding AJ Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles has continued to spiral into real headlines:
Days after Brown showed a video celebrating the arrival of a Julian Edelam jersey that was signed and seemed to troll the Eagles fandom and overzealous reporters with a potential deal, Philadelphia may reportedly look to move on from the All-Pro after all.
At least that is what host Nick “Fitzy” Stevens shared on the “WEEI Afternoons” show Friday.
“I got a call earlier today that the Philadelphia Eagles really, really, really want Abdul Carter and that they would consider, rather, are planning to call your New England Patriots on draft day, if Carter falls to No. 4, to see if Mike Vrabel would like a reunion with A.J. Brown and possibly more draft selections and compensation to come,” Stevens said Friday.
Keep in mind that even if there are “reports” out that the Eagles and Patriots are interested in getting a deal done, doesn’t mean the organization will actually move him this offseason.
Especially with the cap concerns that come out if the Eagles try to move Brown at all this offseason.

The Eagles would owe Brown over $30 million in dead cap this offseason if they were to move him at all. That’s a lot of money to give up for a non-QB. Especially when that non-QB was undefeated when he started and finished games last season with Jalen Hurts also with him.
The fact is, the A.J. trade thing is the result of a prank by … A.J. himself. You can read all about it below …
A Brown trade isn’t going to happen this offseason. And the rumors tracked down by people in radio aren’t going to change that.

Safe to say that Eagles fans don’t enjoy this trade idea:

I don’t get it. Then we wonder why we get annoyed as fans. If you traded him, you would be hoping they are AS GOOD as AJ Brown. Zero chance they are more impactful.
