“Don’t Fall for His Innocent Face”: NFL Fans Have No Mercy for Justin Jefferson’s Breaking-Point Frustration After Shutout Loss

Justin Jefferson’s body language told the story before he bolted from the locker room Sunday. The broadcast camera caught him sitting alone on the bench with a towel draped over his head during Minnesota’s worst offensive showing in nearly two decades.

After the game, Jefferson declined to speak with reporters for the first time since Kevin O’Connell took over in 2022. Maybe the first time in his entire six-year career. The four-time Pro Bowler had nothing left to say about this dumpster fire.

But fans are not feeling pity for him. They became more savage in their comments while washing him.

The Vikings got absolutely blanked 26-0 by Seattle. For the unversed, it is their first shutout loss since 2007. Jefferson managed only two catches on six targets for a career-low four yards.

Undrafted rookie Max Brosmer started at quarterback with J.J. McCarthy in concussion protocol. The kid threw four picks in his debut. Jefferson caught his first pass late in the third quarter. He grabbed it five yards behind the line of scrimmage and got body-slammed by safety Nick Emmanwori for a 15-yard penalty.

FOX cameras showed Jefferson alone on the sideline multiple times, including sitting dejectedly on a Gatorade cooler after another Brosmer interception. The frustration was painted all over his face as his teammates couldn’t help him much to get the ball.

However, Jefferson was not flawless either, since he dropped an easily catchable ball in the second quarter. He has now completed seven straight games without finishing at least 100 yards.

If such rocky putting continues, then he could not make the rest 201 yards required to hit 1,000. He only left five games in hand to complete the mission.

Following the embarrassing loss, the Vikings’ record fell to 4-8. Sad to say, Jefferson is locked up for three more seasons with this messy team. Nobody wants to waste their prime years on a team that can’t score.

He never skips interviews, but after losing to Seahawks, he did that too. The pain ran too deep after getting shut out at home. However, fans have no mercy for his broken mental state.

Fans React to His Breaking-Point Frustration

The internet showed Jefferson zero sympathy after his frustration. Fans are neither happy with the team nor with him.

One fan wrote, “Thielen’s wife is happy though.”

Another added, “Don’t fall for his innocent face. He chose to stay with this team. No end game with zero points.”

A third fan claimed, “The Vikings are wasting his talent right now. So unfortunate for such a great player.”

A fourth shared, “He’s a wasted talent on this team.”

“Bro thought it couldn’t get worse than JJ and this new guy said hold my beer,” the fifth fan claimed.

A random X user penned, “WTF! He is done for the year!”

Jefferson inked a four-year, $140 million deal before the season. He’s the second-highest-paid receiver in the NFL, behind only Nick Bosa’s defensive contract conversion.

That money comes with expectations, but he is putting four yards on the scoreboard. But it is hard to ignore that his rookie quarterbacks are throwing hospital balls.
