US President Donald Trump’s support for the Kansas City Chiefs in the most recently concluded Super Bowl LIX shocked and surprised Gracie Hunt, daughter of Chiefs owner, Clark Hunt. Gracie Hunt spoke out on the same in the ‘Gaines for Girls’ podcast where she remarked that it was “pretty cool” to hear the now President voice his support for her team.
A couple of weeks back, Trump took to Truth Social to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs after winning against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game. In that game, the Chiefs earned their ticket to the Super Bowl after destroying the Bills in a close score of 32-29. The newly elected US President not only congratulated the team but also highlighted that many of them had indeed voted for him during the recent elections.
“It’s pretty cool. It’s pretty awesome. Sometimes I just look at whoever I’m talking to and I’m like yeah that just wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card. But wow that’s just absolutely incredible.” Gracie Hunt said on ‘Gaines for Girls’.

Donald Trump did indeed grace the crowd in New Orleans for the Super Bowl LIX. However, his presence did not bring any good luck for the Kansas City Chiefs as they lost to the Eagles with an embarrassing 40-22 final score.
Donald Trump Wants Canada As 51st State In Pre-Super Bowl Interview
Donald Trump became the first active US president to attend a Super Bowl game and was greeted by loud cheers from the crowd in New Orleans. During the pre-show, President Trump gave an interview with Fox News where he discussed what his first 100 days in office would look like, and also his plans for the country during his presidential rule.

In the same interview, Trump also mentioned a few shocking and surprising things. For instance, the now US President seemed adamant about making Canada the 51st state of the country. While Trump did mention this during his election campaign, along with other eyebrow-raising statements like renaming the Gulf of Mexico, he reiterated the statement during a recent interview showing his seriousness.
“I think Canada would be much better off being the 51st state because we lose $200 billion a year with Canada. And I’m not going to let that happen. Why are we paying $200 billion a year, essentially a subsidy to Canada?” Donald Trump said to Fox News.

While Donald Trump may have his reasons for making Canada another US state, the reality cannot be further. The statement has also drawn the ire of numerous Canadians who don’t want anything to do with the US.
