President Donald Trump has been in an on-and-off talking basis with Stephen A. Smith for the past several years. At leats, this is what the ESPN analyst said so hoimself in one of his recent videos.

In one of the recent episodes of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” Smith talked about his personal relationship with Donald Trump. According to Smith, Trump addressing him on a first-name basis is proof that they know each other, as he claimed.

“By the way, I kind of told y’all I knew Trump a little bit, right?” he said. “You see the first words that came out of his mouth. Hello, Stephen. It’s been a long time because we used to talk on and off throughout the years prior to him running for president. I told you he knew me, and I know him. I appreciated him being on the air. I appreciated him being kind and respectful to me.”

“It ain’t going to stop me from disagreeing with him,” he added. “But civility is not a crime. It should actually be something that’s aspired for and desired.”

Stephen A. Smith has made waves with his recent statement about potentially running for president in 2028, saying he is “officially leaving all doors open”. The outspoken ESPN personality has been increasingly vocal about his frustrations with both Democratic and Republican leadership, arguing that the country needs bold leadership to address pressing issues.

Smith revealed that elected officials, billionaires, and political pundits have approached him about forming an exploratory committee, urging him to consider a campaign.
