US President Donald Trump recently played a game of golf with Philadelphia Eagles running back before hosting the team for the White Super Bowl celebration. However, Barkley has been incessantly trolled and criticized since then. The criticism came even harder after Jalen Hurts, Barkley’s teammate and Philadelphia’s starting quarterback, announced that he will not be attending the celebration along with several other players.

The current POTUS and Barkley played golf at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey. After Barkley received major backlash for his actions, Dez Bryant, former wide receiver, came out in defense of the running back.

“How are y’all going to get mad at Saquon Barkley over his personal choice?” Dez Bryant tweeted from his X account on Monday, defending Saquon Barkley for playing golf with the US President, Donald Trump.

“lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT. Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump ! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day.” Saquon Barkley tweeted, explaining his stance on the situation.

Saquon Barkley has been playing for the Philadelphia Eagles since the previous NFL season. Before that, Barkley played for the New York Giants from 2018 to 2023 after being selected as the second pick in the very first round of the NFL draft.

Donald Trump Pokes Fun At Taylor Swift During Super Bowl Celebration

US President Donald Trump is known for his sense of humor, even in his speeches. At the recent Super Bowl celebration in the White House, the POTUS taunted pop singer Taylor Swift, after the team she supported, the Kansas City Chiefs, lost the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Swift has been strongly supporting the Kansas City Chiefs ever since she started dating their tight end Travis Kelce. In the 2024 NFL season, Swift was seen in a number of Chiefs games, and even made it to the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend’s team. President Trump was also in the crowd cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I watched in person. I was there along with Taylor Swift. How did that work out?” President Trump said.
