Would President Donald Trump pardon Sean “Diddy” Combs if he ends up getting convicted? Analyst Stephen A. Smith gave his honest take on the issue, in light of the recent call by rapper 50 Cent for the president not to pardon the controversial artist and producer.
In one of the recent episodes of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” the ESPN analyst got honest about rapper 50 Cent calling for President Donald Trump not to pardon Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“First of all, let me say this because I love me some 50 Cent,” Smith said. “I love what he’s doing. I love what he’s doing on Star Power. I think he’s phenomenal as executive producer. I think he’s an incredible talent and I think he is the kind of person you do not want against you because this brother will troll you forever. I mean he will hit you where it hurts.”
“Ain’t no doubt about that. And he clearly has no love for Diddy. My whole point is Trump’s willingness to pardon Diddy, potentially. Whatever 50 Cent feels, it shouldn’t be based on whether what Diddy has said about Trump. It should be based on whether Trump thinks that the charges against him are excessive, the crime that he’s being accused of, if he were to be convicted of those federal crimes, how valid they are, and whether or not the time served comes into consideration.”
“That clearly is not going to be the case. I mean, if it’s one of those situations where President Trump ended up pardoning P Diddy, P Diddy’s on trial now. He hasn’t been convicted yet.”

Will Donald Trump Pardon Diddy?
During a recent Oval Office press conference, President Donald Trump addressed speculation about whether he would grant a pardon to Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing federal charges for sex trafficking and racketeering. Trump acknowledged that the case has received significant media attention but stated that he has not been closely following the trial.

He also reflected on his past relationship with Combs, noting that their friendship seemed to deteriorate after Trump entered politics. While he did not confirm any decision regarding a pardon, he emphasized that he would review the facts before making a judgment.
Trump’s remarks come shortly after he pardoned reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, who had been serving prison sentences for tax evasion. The president defended his decision, citing what he perceived as overly harsh treatment of the couple. Meanwhile, Combs’ trial has brought forward multiple allegations, including testimony from former employees and associates detailing instances of abuse and misconduct.

Despite the controversy surrounding Combs, Donald Trump reiterated that his approach to pardons is based on fairness rather than personal relationships. He stated that if he believes someone has been mistreated by the legal system, he would consider granting clemency regardless of their stance toward him.
