Donald Trump is one of the more controversial public figures in the world. His second presidential term has been flooded with sporting appearances and meetings with (at least 4) championship winning teams.
However, one reporter noticed Trump’s lock screen on his phone, and even the sports world is reacting.
Donald Trump’s Phone Lock Screen Gets Noticed; Even The Sports World Is Reacting

A picture of Trump getting off Air Force One with his iPhone in his right hand was taken on Friday night:
The photo shows Trump doing his famous finger-pointing pose. Countless people, including TikTok influencer Harry Sisson, ripped the president for his “self-absorbed” lock screen.
“Trump’s lock screen was spotted on his phone last night—and it was a photo of himself. Is that not one of the most narcissistic, self-absorbed things you’ve ever seen??? Not his family, not his kids, but himself,” Sisson wrote on X.

Victor Brand of MSNBC wrote an entire opinion piece on Trump’s lock screen and his “problematic” habits.
“The online commentariat has leaned naturally into armchair psychology, citing this bit of photo curation as yet more evidence of Trump’s narcissism. Trump has, after all, five children and 11 grandchildren, and his current wife is a former model — any of whom might be featured in that slot by the family patriarch. Perhaps. But we can unpack this picture just a little more,” Brand wrote.
“Demonstrating an uncharacteristic consistency, the background image on the phone appears to be the same lock screen picture from at least 2023, when, Gizmodo notes, it was spotted in a video of Trump in a golf cart. When the lock screen resurfaced in 2024, Gizmodo dug into the background (so to speak) of this particular photo, dating it to July 19, 2019, ‘from the height of Trump’s family separation policy for migrants, which forcibly separated children from their parents at the border.’ So perhaps the president is just sentimental.”
