Should President Donald Trump pardon Sean “Diddy” Combs if he ultimately gets convicted? Analyst Stephen A. Smith thinks that, should Trump eventually do so, it should be under the right premise.
In his recent appearance on the PBD Podcast, analyst Stephen A. Smith got honest about his opinion on the issue of the potential pardon for Diddy coming from President Donald Trump.
“I don’t want to hear about pardons from Trump based on who he likes or who’s complimentary to him. You’re the commander-in-chief. If you believe there’s a viable case to pardon somebody, make your call. If you believe there’s not, make your call. But it shouldn’t be predicated on he was very nice to me. He’s always very good to me. And I mean that I said very nice things.
“I mean, that’s the kind of stuff about him that drives me crazy because it’s petty. And this ain’t something to be petty about. Listen, if Diddy’s innocent of sex trafficking and racketeering, those are federal charges. Very, very serious. If you’re found innocent, God bless you. Live the rest of your life. We saw that video with you beating your girl. Ain’t no coming back from that. Nope. We heard testimony that your own defense didn’t deny where not only were sexual acts taking place with sex workers as well as yourself urinating in her mouth. You’re not coming back from that.

Will Donald Trump pardon Diddy? President Considers Potential
President Donald Trump recently addressed speculation about whether he would pardon Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing federal charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. When asked about the possibility, Trump stated that he had not spoken to Combs in years but acknowledged that they once had a close relationship.

He noted that their friendship seemed to deteriorate when he entered politics, citing negative statements he had read about himself in the media. Despite this, Trump emphasized that he would “look at the facts” before making any decision, suggesting that he would consider a pardon if he believed Combs had been mistreated.
As discussions continue, Trump has remained noncommittal, stating that his decision would not be influenced by personal relationships or popularity. He reiterated that he would review the details of the case before making any judgment, leaving the possibility of a pardon open-ended.

The situation has sparked debate among legal experts and political analysts, with some questioning whether Trump’s intervention would be appropriate given the severity of the charges. Regardless of the outcome, the controversy surrounding Donald Trump and his potential involvement in Combs’ legal battle continues to unfold.
