President Donald Trump has been no stranger to NFL players over the years.  From active players to legends who played for years, Trump has made a name for himself.  It is also no secret that his supporters aren’t afraid to voice their support.

That was no different after the Iran bombings that recently took place.

It is the Constitution that says the only body that can declare war is the legislature. Despite the Constitution’s provision, President Donald Trump avoided contacting Congress before attacking Iran:

Many Democrats and even some Republicans say that the attack was essentially a declaration of war and that Trump acted illegally.

However, a ton of Trump aides disagreed as they called the strike a limited action aimed solely at Iran’s nuclear capabilities that does not meet the definition of war. “This is not a war against Iran,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Fox News.

Vice President JD Vance stood by his side as well, saying Trump had “clear authority to act to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.”

Criticisms of the attack, which came less than two weeks after Israel began its bombing campaign against Iran, included Donald Trump not giving American policymakers, lawmakers, and the public enough time to debate a role in a conflict.

Opinions of his actions even came from the sports world.

Former NFL kicker Jay Feely, who played in the league from 2001 to 14, praised President Trump for his decision.

“Tonight, President Trump acted decisively to protect the United States & our Israeli allies from the threat of a nuclear Iran. Under @POTUS, America’s national security is at its strongest. I have full trust in him to deter adversaries & uphold peace through strength,” he wrote on social media.

New York Liberty star Natasha Cloud saw it differently. She stated that President Donald Trump should be impeached for his decision.

“A sad, sad day,” she wrote.

    “Grounds for impeachment.”

The Trump administration is defending a precision strike on Iranian nuclear sites Saturday that was carried out without congressional approval.

Some lawmakers are not happy with the assessment that Trump could act without first seeking approval from Congress.

Top Democrats were kept in the dark about the mission until after U.S. forces left Iranian airspace, according to a U.S. official.

It begs the question of if Trump could see himself being impeached.
