President Donald Trump getting snubbed by some of the players from the Philadelphia Eagles during the team’s White House courtesy call had been a hot topic for conversation in the past weeks, and now quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was one of the players who did not attend the visit, broke his silence to explain his side.
In a video released by the Philadelphia Eagles X account, Jalen Hurts offered a simple explanation for why he missed the team’s visit to the White House to meet President Donald Trump.
“I wasn’t available,” Hurts said. “I don’t think that’s pertinent. Everyone who went, and was available, they seemed to enjoy themselves.”

The Philadelphia Eagles’ White House visit sparked controversy due to the absence of key players, including Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith, who chose not to attend. While the tradition of championship teams visiting the White House has long been upheld, the Eagles’ decision to skip the event led to political backlash, particularly from MAGA supporters, who viewed it as a snub against President Donald Trump.
The absence of several star players fueled speculation about whether the team was making a political statement, though some reports suggested that the White House had not officially extended an invitation before the Eagles declined.

Adding to the controversy, reports emerged that the Eagles had previously declined a White House visit after their 2018 Super Bowl victory, citing political tensions with the Trump administration. The ongoing debate over whether the team actively rejected an invitation or simply opted out of attending remains unresolved, but the incident has reignited discussions about the intersection of sports, politics, and personal choice.
Donald Trump Jr. Hints at Potential Presidential Run
Donald Trump Jr. has recently hinted at the possibility of running for U.S. president in the future, marking a shift from his previous denials. Speaking at the Qatar Economic Forum, Trump Jr. acknowledged that the idea of a presidential bid is something he has considered, stating, “Maybe one day … that calling is there.”

While he stopped short of making a formal announcement, his remarks have fueled speculation about his role in shaping the Republican Party’s future. Trump Jr. has been a vocal figure in the MAGA movement, actively defending his father’s policies and ensuring that ideological loyalists remain influential within the administration.
Despite his growing political presence, Trump Jr. has previously dismissed reports that he was seriously considering a 2028 presidential run. However, his latest comments suggest a more open stance, particularly as he continues to play a key role in Republican strategy.

Donald Trump the elder, despite raising question on its constitutionality, has also expressed the desire to run for a third term in office.
