Donald Trump has made it clear that he loves to attend sporting events while President. Just months into his second Presidential term, Trump has been seen at numerous sporting events such as the Super Bowl, Golfing, multiple UFC events, and an NCAA Wrestling Championship.
However, fans recently got an idea of how much some of this is costing.
Donald Trump Sees Dollar Amount Leaked On How Much He Spends Attending Sporting Events, Fans Irate

President Donald Trump has spent a significant amount of time on the golf course since he returned to the White House on January 20:
By late March, estimates show his leisure trips have cost the public roughly $26 million, with projections nearing $30 million in early April.
In a contentious House subcommittee hearing on April 8, Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett delivered a pointed critique of the mounting costs. “If we are gonna talk about efficiency… let’s talk about the fact that, as of March 30, Trump‘s golfing has cost us approximately $26 million,” she declared.
“The last time I checked, we’re not getting anything in return for that.”
Crockett further highlighted that a high-end golf weekend can run taxpayers around $3.4 million, and that a recent trip skyrocketed to $4.2 million due to added helicopter transport from Miami International.
Such expenditures are not without precedent. During Trump‘s first term, the Government Accountability Office reported an average taxpayer outlay of about $13.6 million per MaraLago weekend, which included the cost of flying Air Force One, cargo jets, and motorcades.
Adding to the burden, local law enforcement in Palm Beach County has incurred approximately $240,000 in overtime per day.

Critics argue that such lavish trips not only drain public finances but also blur ethical lines, given Trump‘s continued ownership of the golf properties he frequents.
During his first term, watchdogs-including Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW)-reported that Trump-owned venues overcharged the government, sometimes by 300%, for Secret Service accommodations. In some cases, private resorts turned into government-funded security zones.
While all U.S. presidents receive Secret Service and logistical support, Trump‘s choice not to fully divest from his businesses makes the situation uniquely fraught with conflict-of-interest concerns economists and journalists have noted that taxpayers’ payments effectively end up in his personal coffers.
Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw described the recurring disruptions: beyond financial impact, weekend visits trigger road closures, flight restrictions, and elevated security protocols.

Bradshaw emphasized that while federal reimbursements may eventually arrive, residents endure immediate inconvenience and mounting overtime bills.
Meanwhile, national watchdog groups have raised alarms about travel patterns that appear to prioritize private business interests over presidential duties. During his first term, Trump spent nearly one-third of his days at properties he owned, prompting critics to say the presidency was being leveraged for personal gain.
