US President Donald Trump is feared to negatively affect the upcoming sale of the NFL RedZone channel to Disney-owned ESPN. The sale is all set to happen pretty soon, and various analysts and sports pundits have been weighing in on the same. According to Front Office Sports’ Michael McCarthy, President Trump may not allow the deal to go through, or may have his own factors to be met for the negotiations to be conclusive.

The sitting POTUS has definitely taken a massive interest in the National Football League. In fact, one of the first things that US President Donald Trump did as POTUS was to attend the Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. President Trump became the first current President to do so and cheered for the Eagles as they lifted the Lombardi Trophy.
“What if Trump decides to stick his beak in? This is a massive deal. It will require government oversight and approval. And we all know how (President) Trump likes to poke the NFL from time to time.” Michael McCarthy from Front Office Sports recently reported about US President Donald Trump.

President Donald Trump is also trying his best to bring more physical activity and wellness to the children of the country by reviving the Presidential Fitness Test tradition. In recent years, the test was removed and replaced by other health programs. However, President Trump seems dead set on bringing the test back, hoping that it will help more kids develop an interest in sports, just like he did during his schooling years.
US President Donald Trump Names Saquon Barkley To Sports Council
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, recently named a number of NFL players to his Sports Council. One of those who made the list was Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, along with Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
President Trump was most particularly concerned about Tagovailoa, even if he failed to pronounce his name correctly. Trump remarked that Tagovailoa is indeed a pretty talented player but needs to stay out of injuries.

Barkley, who also made President Trump’s list, has been known to be getting pretty chummy with the president and even managed to grab a round of golf with the POTUS some time back. This was ahead of his White House visit with the rest of his teammates. For this, Barkley was called out by many Trump-haters, but the running back was not affected.
