US President Donald Trump seems to be taking an active interest in the health and fitness of his people and recently made headlines when he announced that the Presidential Fitness Test will be resumed again across schools in the country. President Trump also added a number of stellar athletes to his Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition, including Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.

Barkley made the honored list along with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Chiefs placekicker Harrison Butker and 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa. The sitting POTUS seemed especially happy to bring back the Presidential Fitness Test which several other presidents, including Barack Obama were against.
“This is a wonderful tradition, and we’re bringing it back. I was always a person that loved playing sports. I was good at sports. When you are really focused on sports, you’ve thought about nothing else. To an extent, this is one of the reasons I like golf. You get away for a couple of hours.” US President Donald Trump said on Thursday.

The Presidential Fitness Test has garnered many mixed reviews from the public as well as health experts ever since its inauguration back in the late 1950s. While the aim is to get every child active and healthy, it has been criticized for not having a more individualistic approach. However, with the POTUS reviving this tradition, school health programs will also get more funding and hopefully the future of the US will see a healthier generation.
US President Donald Trump Claims To Have Settled A Lot Of Wars
On another note, US President Donald Trump recently angered many by stating that it was his efforts that brought about the settlement of “a lot of wars” across the world. Trump spoke to Newsmax a couple of days back ,where he said that he was the one to have brokered a ceasefire between India and Pakistan and also put an end to the conflicts between Congo and Rwanda and even Thailand and Cambodia.
“I said, ‘listen, you guys are going to fight. You can fight all you want. I mean, just fight your hearts out. But we’re not doing a trade deal’.” US President Donald Trump said.

It was apparently these very words that led the countries to stop fighting with each other. The POTUS also remarked that he settles an average of one war every single month and has saved “millions of lives”.
