The Miami Dolphins made Tua Tagovailoa one of the highest paid quarterbacks in NFL history this off-season. With the deal, Tagovailoa will earn an average annual salary of $53.1 million, plus a signing bonus of $42 million. The deal lasts four years in length.
However, many are questioning if Tua will ever be able to play again after leaving Thursday Night Football with yet another brutal injury.
Breaking: Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa’s Career Is In Serious Jeopardy (Report)
Thursday Night Football saw Tagovailoa leave the game with a concussion against the Buffalo Bills.
At the end of the third quarter, Miami trailed Buffalo 31-10 and faced a fourth-and-4 from the Bills’ 13-yard line.
Rather than slide for a first down, Tagovailoa lowered his shoulder and plowed his head into Bills safety Damar Hamlin’s midsection. It was clear that Tua’s head was hit hard.
Tagovailoa appeared woozy after the play, wobbling and raising his head off the ground. His right arm was extended, his fingers flexing, and his left hand was holding his helmet. Here is a replay:
Tua suffered a traumatic brain injury on this play, no question. His right arm shows the “fencing posture” indicating loss of consciousness & is on the severe end on the #concussion spectrum. He is done for the night and must miss the next game.pic.twitter.com/3Ur62QfBLH

Tua has had multiple concussions throughout his young career. Some fairly significant. Many fans are wondering if he will ever play in the NFL again:
Just awful. Every snap of Tua’s career feels like it carries an extra risk. I hope he is okay. Part of me wants him to walk away before it’s too late in his career.

Someone has to pull the plug on Tua’s career before we end up watching him die on the field. Save him from himself. https://t.co/KnKtTuE2o1
