The Miami Dolphins got a much needed win on Monday Night Football. Miami jumped out to a 20-9 lead early in the fourth quarter that proved to be too much for the Los Angeles Rams.
Tua Tagovailoa went 20-28, 207 yards, one touchdown and one interception. A solid performance from the young quarterback who is still coming back from his most recent concussion.
However, it was head coach Mike McDaniels who was facing some backlash as the contest got going.
“Unserious Head Coach” Dolphins HC Mike McDaniels Facing Massive Backlash Amid Win Over Ramsq

A victory over the Rams on Monday night would keep the Dolphins within arms reach of a potential wild card run. Before the primetime matchup, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel did not seem to have the same urgency according to fans:

According to Emily Bicks of Athlon Sports:
While walking on the sidelines, McDaniel chose to have some fun with ESPN’s cameras, speeding up and slowing down. One Dolphins fan commented, “Put him on SNL And give us a coach.” Another person wrote, “this would hit if we weren’t 2-6.”
Batavia Daily’s Alex Brasky, who covers the Bills, posted, “2-6 and this guy is joking around before a game that could officially kill his team’s season. unserious head coach.”
A Steelers fan piled on, “Bro is 2-6 and thinks he’s Jim from the office. Could never be my coach.” Another Fins wrote, “Such a joke. 2-6 and you’re walking out there like a clown.”
The 41-year-old head coach was asked earlier in the week why Dolphins fans should feel confident the team is headed in the right direction. “I understand the question, it’s very valid. I think from my vantage point, I’m responsible for all things,” he said.
“I think guys are determined, and I think they know that while each individual can’t control whether or not it’s a win or loss, they can control how they are working individually and collectively.
“We’ve had a lot of hard conversations that ultimately have been very necessary, and in that process, you ultimately have to win in this league, but you have to take care of your business through the entirety of the preparation – coaches and players included – and then ultimately you do have win football games. That’s the whole idea so we’re working to improve that.”
