Terrence Lewis was the 2021 national recruiting class’ #1 ranked linebacker, according to 247Sports. He was arrested May 8, 2022 for domestic battery. On June 9, those charges were dropped.

Does Lewis still face discipline from UCF or head coach Gus Malzahn?

    Lewis Lands in College Park

Lewis committed to Maryland over Florida and Tennessee, but missed spring practice due to ACL surgery and redshirted after not appearing in a game for the Terps last fall.

According to 247Sports, Lewis also hurt his shoulder prior to last season that required surgery.

    Terrence Lewis Leaves Maryland

Lewis is originally from Opa-locka, Florida. He entered the portal November 29, 2021 and officially transferred to UCF January 3, 2022.

    Arrested on Domestic Battery Charge

According to reports, Lewis was accused of striking a woman in the mouth. Police reported visible injuries to her lip.

Lewis was 18 at the time of the alleged offense, and while the charges have since been dropped, it’s likely not the position Lewis wants to be putting his new coach into.

Malzahn was not asked specifically about Lewis or the alleged incident at AAC Media Day Thursday.

    Will Terrence Lewis Face Discipline?

He was back in his home state less than six months before being arrested, charged with a serious crime, and momentarily jailed. It will be interesting to see how Malzahn handles Lewis’ situation with fall camp opening this week.
