The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the most recognized sports teams not only in the country, but the world. Any time they play internationally fans come out in waves to support them.
However, one recent announcement regarding President Donald Trump may come with some mixed feelings.
Breaking: Dodgers Makes Extremely Controversial Donald Trump Announcement

According to the Dodgers’ official Twitter (X) account:
In keeping with long-standing baseball tradition, President Trump has invited the 2024 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers to the White House when they play in Washington D.C. on April 7.
The Dodgers look forward to visiting the White House and celebrating our title.
In addition, members of the Dodgers will visit Capitol Hill on April 8.
Last year, the Dodgers’ World Series run culminated in a five-game victory over Trump’s preferred MLB team, the New York Yankees. The Dodgers’ attendance at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue had been questioned, especially given the timing of the trip.
In spite of the fact that April 7 is less than two weeks away, no word had been heard about the team’s plans before Tuesday. The Philadelphia Eagles, who did not visit Trump during his first presidency due to contentious circumstances, won their second Super Bowl on Feb. 9 and confirmed their March 11 visit.

Before Roberts spoke to reporters Tuesday ahead of a spring training game against the Los Angeles Angels, the Dodgers announced they would make the trip. The Los Angeles Times reported that Roberts would indeed make the trip:
“I respect the position. It’s the highest office in our country certainly, in the world. So I’m looking forward to it.”
