Diontae Johnson, newest Cleveland Browns wide receiver, recently posted a cryptic tweet after signing a one-year contract with the team. Johnson managed to get a promising deal with the Browns after not doing so well in the 2024 NFL season. In the previous NFL season, Johnson managed only 33 receptions for 375 yards, scoring three touchdowns.
Not only was his performance sub-par in the previous season, but Johnson’s year was also filled with quite a bit of drama. Firstly, Johnson was shuffled between the Houston Texans, the Baltimore Ravens and the Carolina Panthers for various reasons. He also was suspended for one-game when he was with the Ravens after refusing to play against the Philadelphia Eagles.
“You gotta kno how to stay High at the lowest and levels,” Diontae Johnson tweeted from his X account.

28-year-old Diontae Johnson joined the NFL after being selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers as the 66th pick in the third round of the 2019 draft. Johnson played for the Steelers until the 2023 season after which he was traded to the Carolina Panthers. However, he soon went to the Baltimore Ravens and then the Houston Texans in the same year. It looks like Johnson will be eager to redeem his reputation in the upcoming NFL season with the Browns.
The Cleveland Browns have been doing plenty of work in their offseason in order to try and improve their rankings in the 2025 NFL season. Last year, the Browns finished at the bottom of the pile in the AFC North table with only three wins and 14 defeats. The Browns played their last game against the Baltimore Ravens, being defeated 35-10.

Diontae Johnson’s New Teammate, Shedeur Sanders, May Not Be QB1 Yet
Diontae Johnson, just like many other Cleveland Browns players, will be surely excited to train and play alongside the talented Shedeur Sanders who was picked by the team in this year’s draft. However, despite all the talent that he has, it looks like Sanders will have to wait before being planted as a starting quarterback for the team.

At the same time, a video clip shared a few days back showed a few Cleveland players giving Sanders the cold shoulder in the locker room. Sanders has been under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons over the last few weeks and has been branded to be both arrogant and brash in his conversations with NFL scouts and analysts.
