Diego Pavia Declares the Vanderbilt Commodores are “the Most Dangerous Team”

The Vanderbilt Commodores are in a position where their regular season has concluded. They are not going to be in the 2025 SEC Championship Game, but the team is in the conversation for the program to be on the bubble of the College Football Playoff. However, one player believes the team should be competing for the national championship, so let’s take a closer look at who it is and what he said about the team.

While appearing on Wake Up Barstool, Vanderbilt Commodores quarterback Diego Pavia discussed how he believes the team should make the College Football Playoff.

“Our backs have been against the wall since that loss to Texas, you know. And I feel like we just, ever since then, it’s like, keep swinging, and then obviously, the whole team’s backed by it. We’re just like, down for it, you know? And it’s just, I think it’s infectious, and our whole team’s ready for the playoffs, and I can’t wait for the committee to select us, and, you know, get in. And I feel like we’re the most dangerous team. You look at the film and tape and our numbers, dude, we’re the most dangerous team in the country right now. I feel like you got to put us in.”

The Vanderbilt Commodores have been successful as they hold a 10-2 (6-2 SEC) record, but will not be in the SEC Championship Game. Diego Pavia had an outstanding season where he could be in the conversation for the 2025 Heisman Trophy as he completed 242 of 340 (71.2%) of his passes for 3,192 yards with 27 passing touchdowns to eight interceptions.

It will be intriguing to see if the Vanderbilt Commodores can make the College Football Playoff or if they are going to be on the outside looking in.
