The Indianapolis Colts entered the game on Sunday on the road against the Seattle Seahawks as -13.5 point underdogs. Well, Indianapolis was starting 44-year-old Philip Rivers at quarterback because of injuries to three other quarterbacks on the roster.

Blake Grupe drilled a 60-yard field goal with :52 seconds remaining in regulation to give the Colts a 16-15 lead. However, the Seahawks got into field goal range with enough time remaining and Jason Myers drilled a 56-yard field goal, and they won the game by a final score of 18-16. With the loss for Indianapolis, they dropped to 8-6 on the season and Seattle improved to 11-3. Yes, the Colts playoffs hopes are dwindling away, but they were dealt a bad hand of injuries to begin with.
Indianapolis Colts Fans Surprised With Close Game Despite Loss Against the Seatle Seahawks

Colts fans were surprised that the game was even close to begin with despite the loss against the Seahawks. This is what some Indianapolis fans had to say on Twitter:
Did much better than expected. Defense played great and held a 10-win team to no touchdowns. Got what we all expected out of Phil.
Let’s just keep our key players healthy the rest of the year please.

We were expected to get blown out. Holding the Seahawks to just field goals, in Seattle, while having a QB that just joined like 5 days ago is a good sign this team might turn it around with 3 games left

Rivers did exactly what he was brought in to do, which was give us a chance. We got the lead and special teams let them return to the Seattle 40, and then Defense played softer than Charmin extra soft on that final drive. Defense lost us that game.

All the experts said he was going to get rolled. He kept you guys in the game against one of the best defenses in the NFL. But you’re going to bag on him. Okay

Barely lost to the Seahawks, best defense in league. Watch out the next couple weeks. The Colts are about to go on a win streak

Despite the Colts losing, they are still alive for a chance at a wild card spot in the AFC and an outside shot at the AFC South title as well. Indianapolis will next play on Monday night football in Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers (10-4 record).
