The Minnesota Vikings have a 4-7 record this season and quarterback play has no doubt been the downfall of this football team. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy has performed poorly when on the field and he has also been injured.

Apparently, he went into concussion protocol after they lost to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. According to Dianna Russini of the Athletic, “Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy, who entered concussion protocol earlier this week, is not expected to play Sunday against the Seahawks, I’m told.” This is not a surprise by any means. Fans are questioning when McCarthy suffered a concussion at any point in the game. Some believe that this injury is another “benching” by head coach Kevin O’Connell.
NFL Fans Erupt Over Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy Being Ruled Out For Seattle Seahawks Matchup
It is not a surprise that many NFL fans responded to McCarthy not being able to play on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. This is what some NFL fans had to say on Twitter about the Vikings quarterback:
Did he actually suffer concussion or they put him on it because his been awful

Is he so soft that they just can’t say he is benched?

It’s truly amazing how the Vikings can never have good things

He’s Zach Wilson 2.0. Fine young man by the looks of everything, but not a NFL QB. Reasonably certain the Vikes have concluded the same.

Good idea. Even if he were able to play… that Seattle defense would have killed whatever confidence this kid had left

This season, he has completed 54.1% of his passes for 929 yards, six touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. McCarthy has also rushed for 120 yards on 23 carries and two touchdowns, along with averaging 5.2 yards per carry. With him being out, Max Brosmer will start. He can’t be any worse than McCarthy has been. McCarthy has been the worst first-round draft pick quarterback since JaMarcus Russell of the Oakland Raiders.
