Dan Campbell has greatly – and positively – impacted the Detroit Lions in a big way. Over the last two seasons, the Lions made the NFL playoffs twice and won a total of 27 games against seven losses.

But winning at least 15 games for the second year in a row will be a tough one for the Lions, to say the least. For one, Detroit is believed to have one of the toughest, if not the toughest, schedule in the 2025 NFL season.

Apart from playing their NFC North rivals twice in 2025, the Lions will also be dealing with teams like the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Commanders.

Detroit Lions’ 2025 NFL schedule doesn’t deter Campbell

Despite the tough schedule ahead for the Lions, Campbell seems more excited by it than fazed.

“It’s awesome, man,” Campbell said (via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press). “I mean, to me, by the end of the year we ought to be just scarred up. We should be scarred up and ready to go, hardened for battle and ready for the playoffs. And there’ll be nothing easy about it. You still, just to get through our own division is going to be brutal, but it’s the right kind of brutal.”

The Lions won the division title in 2024 but got eliminated in the divisional round, as they couldn’t overcome injuries to some of their key players.

Detroit will kick off its 2025 season with a road game at Lambeau Field versus the Green Bay Packers before a home opener versus the Chicago Bears in Week 2.
