The Baltimore Ravens offense looked different when Lamar Jackson was handing the football off to Derrick Henry during the 2024 NFL season. Despite Henry potentially showing signs of slowing down with the Tennessee Titans during the 2023 NFL season, there were no signs of him slowing during the 2024 NFL season.

The Ravens offense looked different when Henry was off the field. He is no doubt one of the best running backs in the NFL. Where does Henry rank amongst running backs on pro football focus entering the 2025 NFL season?
Baltimore Ravens Running Back Derrick Henry Ranks First Amongst Running Backs On Pro Football Focus Entering 2025 NFL Season

The Ravens star running back was ranked first on pro football focus running backs list entering the 2025 NFL season. It was either between him or Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley for the number one spot on the list. Trevor Sikkema of pro football focus said about Henry,
“Even at 31 years old, King Henry is deserving of this list’s No. 1 spot. He led the NFL in PFF rushing grade in 2024 (93.5), winning PFF’s Best Runner award.
Henry also boasts the highest PFF rushing grade in a three-year sample size going back to 2022 (94.2). Last season, he forced the most missed tackles (89) and ripped off the second-most runs of 10 yards or more (53).”
When Henry gets into the open field, he is nearly impossible to catch or tackle. He is one of the best running backs of this generation and will be a future first ballot hall of famer. During the 2024 NFL season with the Ravens, Henry rushed for 1,921 yards on 325 carries and 16 touchdowns, along with averaging 5.9 yards per carry.
He also caught 19 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns, along with averaging 10.2 yards per reception. Henry is 31 years old, and it is quite possible that he will finish his NFL career with Baltimore. It is not a surprise that Henry was ranked number one on this list, even though some think that Barkley had a better year than Henry in 2024 as well.
