Every year, the NFL Network has a 100-player list of the best players called the NFL Top 100. The Cleveland Browns will most likely have a few players on the list, but the first person they have on the list is cornerback Denzel Ward at 87th.

Was Ward Ranked in the Right Spot?
He definitely deserves to be on this list. But, some are saying that he may be ranked too low with Mac Jones being ranked at number 85.

Last year, Ward wasn’t even included in the NFL Top 100, so at least he got on it this time.
Denzel Ward is Definitely One of the Best Cornerbacks
Denzel Ward is going into his fifth year in the NFL, and he is definitely one of the best cornerbacks in the league.
In the four years that Ward has been in the league, he has put together 10 interceptions, two touchdowns, 50 passes defended, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 186 tackles, eight tackles for losses, and four QB hits.
But, you can probably argue that his best season was just last year. With three interceptions, one touchdown, 43 tackles, one tackle for loss, and two QB hits, Denzel Ward was putting on a show. And if we’re going to talk about his 2021 season, we might as well put his best play on here.

Ward signed a five-year contract extension this off-season, so the Browns will be seeing him make plays for a while. The contract was also the most expensive for a cornerback ever at $100.5 million. But then, the Packers decided to pay Jaire Alexander even more.
Denzel Ward will look to have another great year this season, maybe even adding another Pro Bowl appearance to his resume.
Ward also may not have to be a huge piece of the Browns’ defense. He’ll still be a big piece, though. With Greg Newsome by his side, his workload will be a little lighter.
