The Denver Broncos are 2-2 to start the season. The Cleveland Browns are 1-3 to start the season. During the offseason, the Broncos traded wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to the Browns.
Entering the season, Denver didn’t have high expectations, but Cleveland had high expectations entering the season. Could there be another trade between the two teams in the works?
Bleacher Report Suggests That the Denver Broncos Trade For Cleveland Browns Wide Receiver Amari Cooper
Bleacher Report Scouting Department suggested things each team should do before Week 5 of the NFL season. One of the things they recommended was for the Denver Broncos to trade for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Bleacher Report said:
“The Broncos have shown some signs of life with Bo Nix at quarterback, but his success is going to depend on the supporting cast the Broncos are able to put around him. Right now, the receiver room could use a legitimate No. 1 receiver. Amari Cooper is a prime trade candidate if the Browns don’t start playing much better soon.
Cooper is on an expiring contract with a small base salary. He would be a cost-effective addition in the middle of the season who could help the Broncos offense make real progress for the rest of the season.”
If Cleveland continues to keep on losing and if Denver continues to keep on winning, it will be interesting to see what both teams do during the NFL trade deadline. Cooper this season has caught 16 passes for 148 yards receiving and two touchdowns, along with averaging 9.3 yards per catch.
Amari Cooper Will Be a Trade Candidate
Before the start of the 2024 season, rumors were going around that Amari Cooper was going to be traded away from the Cleveland Browns for Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers, but it never happened. Cooper is one of the most talented wide receivers in the league who is not performing well because of quarterback Deshaun Watson’s struggles.
This would be an interesting move for the Denver Broncos to do, but there will be other teams who need a wide receiver. They won’t trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Cooper being traded back to the Dallas Cowboys can’t be out of the question.
