The Denver Broncos’ top wide receiver, Courtland Sutton, built great chemistry with Bo Nix in 2024, leading in every major receiving category. The team aims to be less reliant on their Pro Bowler and for their young receivers to step up to the challenge. The Broncos also hope to shorten the gap between Sutton and the second-leading receiver, who had 578 fewer receiving yards.
If the offense sees another resurgence from a former second-round pick, they should be fine in 2025.
Denver Broncos WR had a great finish to his second season

After a rough start to his second season and catching 11 passes for 69 yards in the first ten games, Marvin Mims Jr. had a great finish to 2024. He hauled in 28 receptions for 434 yards and six touchdowns in the final seven games, and at that pace, he would have finished with 68 receptions for 1,054 yards and 15 touchdowns in a 17-game season. Mims finished with 39 receptions on 52 targets for 503 yards and six touchdowns, ranking fifth on the team in targets, fourth in receptions, second in yards, and touchdowns.
He will compete for a key role on offense.
Denver Broncos’ speedster poised for key receiving role in 2025

Marvin Mims Jr. will compete against Devaughn Vele, Troy Franklin, and Pat Bryant for the WR2 position. So far, the two-time Pro Bowler has taken first-team reps with the starting offense throughout OTAs and mandatory minicamp. According to Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post, Mims is currently the favorite for the number-two receiver role, with the competition expected to heat up once training camp begins.
Sean Payton has a ton of confidence in Marvin Mims Jr.

“I’ve said this to you before. Confidence is born out of demonstrated ability,” Payton said on Mims., via Chad Jensen of Sports Illustrated. “Athletes grow up right in front of your eyes. That began not just at the end of the season. That began early part of the middle [of the] season. You could see it and certainly feel it now.”
