The Denver Broncos have been trying to find an answer at quarterback since NFL legend Peyton Manning retired from football after winning them a Super Bowl. The team tried bringing in former Seattle Seahawks veteran Russell Wilson, however, he was not able to bring Denver to the postseason in his campaign. Now, the team has named their rookie quarterback, Bo Nix as the starter, and Broncos veteran Jarrett Stidham is not happy about it.

The veteran quarterback has been trying to prove that he is starting caliber in the NFL, and he showed his disappointment about being overlooked once again.
I was very disappointed. I know I’m a starting quarterback in this league. I have zero doubts about that and it just didn’t shake out my way. I know what kind of player and person I am.

Veteran Quarterback Looking Ahead
While Stidham was unhappy about not earning the starting quarterback spot, he seems like he is ready to serve whatever role the Broncos have him at, even if it means being the second option behind Nix.
Look, I think they (the Broncos) know what I can do. I think I’ve displayed that last year whenever I was asked to come in and play the last two games, and then throughout practice, throughout training camp, OTAs, the whole thing. But at the end of the day, I’m gonna go out there and do what I do, very confident in what I can do, and do whatever I can to help this team
What’s Next For Stidham?
The veteran quarterback has been in the league since 2019, playing for the New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders before going to Denver in 2023. He has amounted to 1,422 passing yards and eight touchdowns in his career, along with eight interceptions. While many fans and some analysts believe that Stidham is not starting caliber, he is ready to prove everyone wrong.
