The Denver Broncos made a surprising run to the NFL playoffs last season. Behind the stellar play of rookie quarterback Bo Nix, the Broncos were a legitimate contender in the AFC.
Sean Payton and company are hoping to take another step toward Super Bowl contention in 2025. With the right offseason moves, they could very well end up making that become a reality.
Denver has a lot of talented pieces already in place. They simply need to add more talent in specific areas.
While most of the focus at this point in the offseason is on players who could be brought in from outside the organization, the Broncos made an intriguing quarterback move before free agency opened up.

Making sure that the quarterback room is set and in a good place is important for any team wanting to compete at the highest level. To that end, Denver ended up making a move to re-sign quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
According to a report from NFL insider Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Stidham was re-signed to a two-year deal worth $12 million.

Stidham has been a quality quarterback option for the Broncos. Obviously, the hope is that he will rarely see the field, but it’s always good to have a security blanket.
The 28-year-old quarterback didn’t record a throwing statistic during the 2024 season, but back in 2023 he played sparingly and completed 40 of his 66 passes for 496 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
All of that being said, Stidham is a good backup and Denver made a very wise move by bringing him back.
