Although the Denver Broncos have a balanced receiving corps with three wide receivers entering their second or third year in the league, they lack a WR2 option behind Courtland Sutton. Marvin Mims Jr. finished second with 503 receiving yards, while Devaughn Vele finished third with 475 on the team. Since the Broncos lack a clear-cut number two, they could select one on Day 1 or 2 of the upcoming draft.
Denver Broncos host talented All-SEC wide receiver

According to Mike Klis of 9news, the Broncos hosted former Missouri Tigers’ wide receiver Luther Burden III for a Top-30 visit last week. Burden is a talented player who primarily lines up in the slot but offers much-needed versatility with the ability to play on the outside or in the backfield. Many scouts have mocked him as a mid-first-round pick.

He took a slight step back in 2024

After a breakout sophomore season and being named First Team All-SEC and Second Team All-American, Luther Burden III took a slight step back in production during his junior year, primarily due to poor quarterback play. Burden hauled in 61 receptions for 676 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games. He was named First Team All-SEC.

Here’s Lance Zierlein‘s scouting report on Luther Burden III

“Former five-star recruit who offers five-star athleticism and playmaking ability. Burden is a natural on the field with above-average speed and exciting ball skills to win at a high rate. He takes snaps off and short-circuits routes if he’s not the primary option, but he can separate and succeed on all three levels when it’s his time.
“Missouri exploited Burden’s yards-after-catch talent with a barrage of short throws, but NFL teams are much more likely to diversify his usage, activating his complete skill set and big-play potential. The production against top teams was uneven at times but so was Missouri’s quarterback play. Burden checks several priority boxes that typically foreshadow an impressive NFL career.“
