When the Denver Broncos won Super Bowl L against the Carolina Panthers nearly 10 years ago, cornerback Aqib Talib was a part of an elite defense that helped them win the title that season. Talib and Chris Harris Jr. were one of the best cornerback tandems in the NFL at that time.
They also had Demarcus Ware and Von Miller on defense. The Broncos defensive coordinator was Wade Phillips when Gary Kubiak was the head coach of that team.
Denver Broncos Aqib Talib and Demaryius Thomas Were Nominated To Be Eligible For the Class of 2025 For the Pro Football Hall of Fame
Former Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was nominated along with former teammate wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to be eligible for the class of 2025 for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It will be interesting to see if Talib will be able to make the hall on the first try. Aric DiLalla, the lead writer for broncos.com said:
“Talib, meanwhile, is also a five-time Pro Bowler and added first-team All-Pro honors in 2016. A key member of the “No-Fly Zone,” Talib earned a Pro Bowl nod in each of his four seasons in Denver and recorded 11 interceptions and a staggering six defensive touchdowns during that stretch. Talib ranks fourth in NFL history in interception returns for touchdowns, and he ranks higher in the category than Hall of Famers Ken Houston, Deion Sanders, Aeneas Williams, Ronde Barber and several others. With Talib in the Broncos’ defensive backfield, Denver posted the top-ranked passing defense in consecutive seasons in 2015-16.”
Talib played for five different NFL teams in his NFL career. The former Kansas Jayhawks cornerback played with Denver from 2014-2017.

There are mixed reactions as to whether or not Talib should be in the hall on the first try. Even if he does not get into the Hall of Fame on the first try, it feels like he will get in at some point because he was an effective cornerback in the NFL for so many seasons.
