Deion Sanders has been one of the hottest topics in sports leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, and certainly after it.  His son Shedeur Sanders falling to the fifth round shocked the entire NFL world.  His teammate, meanwhile, was drafted second overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

However, Deion Sanders was not in attendance at Travis Hunter’s wedding.  Something that surprised everyone

Although Hunter’s wedding was filled with celebration, one absence stood out:

As photos and videos from Hunter’s big day surfaced online, many quickly realized that Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders and his family were nowhere to be seen.

In a short message posted online, Sanders Jr. offered heartfelt congratulations to Travis Hunter while making it clear about their absence.

“Congratulations also to Travis for getting married,” he said. “He know why we couldn’t be here.”

Deion was the one who surprised people as he was the reason Hunter flipped his commitment from Florida State to Jackson State. He also had him transfer to Colorado when he got the head coaching job.

Sanders was also front and center when Travis Hunter won the Heisman trophy.

How Fans Reacted To Deion Sanders Not Showing Up To Travis Hunter’s Wedding:

“Maybe he considers him like his 3rd or 4th favorite son. We parents know how it is,” one fan said.

“Interesting! Given how close Coach Prime and Travis are, this is surprising. @EthanMillerX2, your market-style insights on relationships like these are always spot-on—helps put things in perspective. Wonder if there’s more to the story,” a second fan stated.

“Because it’s a lost cause, I wouldn’t waste a second of my day going to that pre-divorce party,” a third fan said of Deion not showing up for Hunter.

“He didn’t listen and get a prenup. Prime ain’t supporting foolishness,” one final fan wrote
