Deion Sanders saw his son Shedeur Sanders fall in the 2025 NFL Draft in a way that not many could have predicted. As the Cleveland Browns traded their 166th and 192nd picks to the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, they selected Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders with the 144th overall pick.
Sanders was presumed to be a first round draft pick, sometimes even being predicted to go #1 overall to the Tennessee Titans. Now, a video of Deion’s reaction has gone viral.

During Thursday night’s NFL Draft, Sanders’ reaction to his son being snubbed in the first round said it all:
The former superstar cornerback and his family endured a rough night, with neither of Coach Prime’s sons being drafted.
While SHilo was not expected to be a first-round pick, Shedeur was projected to go pretty early, with the New Orleans Saints tipped to take him at No. 9 overall after Cam Ward came off the board at No. 1, going to the Tennessee Titans.
Shockingly enough, the Saints chose an offensive tackle, selecting Kelvin Banks Jr. out of Texas despite their deficiency at quarterback, given Derek Carr’s injury.
Deion was as surprised as most of us were, and cameras caught his reaction, which you can see below:
