Since becoming the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders has brought with him a lot of national attention and increased revenue for the university.
Fans are now questioning whether that increased notoriety is worth the abolishment of age-old traditions that have outlined the school’s identity for decades after a report surfaced claiming Sanders silenced the band after touchdowns so his son Shedeur’s rap song “Perfect Timing” could play on the stadium speakers.
Reports about Deion Sanders silencing the Colorado Buffaloes band have been disputed

While it is true that a snippet of “Perfect Timing” by Shedeur Sanders does play on the stadium speakers when a touchdown is scored, reports that the band was silenced by Deion have been disputed. A portion of the lyrics of “Perfect Timing” were outlined in a Hot97 article.
“These n***a can’t f*ck with me / Yeah, they lyin’ / I ain’t even hit my peak, I ain’t tryin’ / 100k for a signing / What that pay? A n***a got reminded (one mo’ time) / In yo city, know we litty every time.”
Jake Shapiro of Denver Sports initially reported that Deion Sanders completely silenced the band’s efforts to play the classic Colorado fight songs “Glory, Glory, Colorado” and “Fight CU.”
Colorado spokesman Curtis Snyder addressed the report, saying that the band still plays the appropriate fight songs just as they have done for years. A snippet of a certain song being played at a certain point in the process is not specific to Shedeur as Alejandro Mata’s song will play at the same juncture after a successful field goal.
Deion Sanders never asked the Colorado band not to play the fight song, according to CU spokesman Curtis Snyder.

Notable Colorado alumnus Joel Klatt of Fox also came out and disputed the report claiming it was completely false.

Regardless of how it pertains to the Colorado band, Shedeur’s song has become somewhat of a focal point for opposing teams. The Nebraska Cornhuskers were playing the song in the locker room as they celebrated their dominant 28-10 win over Sanders and the Buffaloes.

Deion Sanders seemed to address the false reports in a cryptic social media post. The subject of the post is officially unconfirmed, but Sanders has been vocal about reports that unfavorably represent him, especially if they are not backed by fact.
What happened to Accountability for lies told & consequently sold. A lie don’t care who tells it & only a fool can fool a fool but the Wise is Prudent. #CoachPrime
