There seemingly will be a major Deion Sanders health update coming on Monday afternoon. The program announced that Coach Prime will be having a press conference before the Buffaloes’ training camp, and it will be interesting to see what he is being said. Let’s take a deeper dive into what we know heading into this press conference.
Deion Sanders Health Update Coming Monday

The Colorado Buffaloes announced that coach Sanders will be holding his opening press conference for the 2025 season on Monday, July 28, at 1 pm ET. However, there seems to be a bit more on this as representatives from CU Anschutz | UCHealth will be available, presumingly giving fans a chance to get a Deion Sanders health update.
Sanders has been dealing with an undisclosed sickness, which forced him to several pre-planned events and camps during the preseason. During last month’s 2025 Big 12 Media Days in Frisco, Texas, Deion Sanders spoke with ESPN’s Pete Thamel and discussed how he had not been able to meet with his full team before that point.
“I’m already back. I’m here today. I’m handling my responsibilities. So I look forward to it. I can’t wait. You’ve got to understand, some of the young men I haven’t even met yet.”
However, things may have taken a turn for the worse, as in a recent video from Deion Sanders Jr’s Well Off Media, we could see Coach Prime entering a cold tub and mention how he is still working through his health issue.
“You know I’m still going through something. I ain’t all the way recovered.”
It will be interesting to see what we learn out of this press conference and how it will factor into the Buffs’ 2025 season. One thing we do know is where the team stands with the quarterback battle, and you can read more about what Coach Prime said during the Big 12 Media Days about it here.
