Deion Sanders has turned Colorado into one of the best stories in college football this season. Even though they won’t be heading to the college football playoffs, they exceeded expectations, and now Sanders will be a top coaching candidate this offseason.
The 57-year-old head coach’s name has been floated out for NFL head coaching jobs, and there has been a lot of smoke around him heading to the Dallas Cowboys, but there is a chance he stays in college and heads to the Dallas Cowboys of college football.

Over the weekend, Ohio State dropped their fourth straight game to Michigan, and now head coach Ryan Day’s seat is hot, and there is a chance he will not be back in 2025.
If the Buckeyes make a head coaching change this offseason, Sanders could be one of the targets. According to one of the best college football experts on social media, the former NFL All-Pro should be number one on the Ohio State’s coaching search.
Deion Sanders Could Be Heading To Ohio State

Big Game Boomer is a 24/7 college sports talk page and has been right on many things in the past when it comes to coaching searches and the account posted on X who Ohio State should target to be the next head coach, and Sanders came in at number one head of Mike Vrabel.
Ohio State Head Coaching Candidates
1. Deion Sanders
2. Mike Vrabel
3. Curt Cignetti
4. Kenny Dillingham
5. Rhett Lashlee
6. Marcus Freeman
7. Lane Kiffin
8. Zac Taylor
9. Manny Diaz
10. Mike McDaniel— Big Game Boomer (@BigGameBoomer) November 30, 2024
Sanders would be an interesting choice, but the Buckeyes need to get back to having a coach from Ohio who knows how to beat Michigan, and Sanders doesn’t check that box.
It’s more likely Vrabel, who played and coached at Ohio State, would be the number one target, and Sanders will only be an option if other coaches turn the job down.
Sanders’s heading to Buckeye State is more of a giant fantasy, and it most likely won’t happen unless they find nobody else who wants to coach Ohio State.
