Deion Sanders, who recently announced that he has finally won his battle against cancer in a press conference, also shared many highlights of his fight, including close friends who really showed their love for him. Sanders’ health was definitely deteriorating over the last few months, but it was never revealed to the public what his exact condition was.

On Monday, Sanders and his medical team made the announcement that he had been indeed fighting cancer in his bladder this whole time. There was a tumor in his bladder which was removed just in time and now the renowned football coach is completely cancer-free. Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders also gave a heads up to his close friend, former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss, who apparently called him up every other day just to check on him and his health.

“Deion Sanders says Randy Moss called him every other day while Deion was fighting cancer.” ProFootballTalk shared through a tweet from their X account.

Despite him losing a lot of weight and still fighting to get back in shape, Deion Sanders also revealed that he will definitely be going back to work with the Colorado Buffaloes for their upcoming season.

This time out, it will be slightly different for Coach Prime, since his son, Shedeur Sanders, will no longer be on his team. Shedeur Sanders was picked up by the Cleveland Browns during the draft and will be hopefully make an appearance in the 2025 NFL season.

Deion Sanders Made A Will As He Fought Against Bladder Cancer

Deion Sanders’ battle with bladder cancer was definitely not an easy one and it is clear that the renowned football coach was at a point of giving up many times. Sanders revealed that he actually had to make a will as he went through his fight with cancer.

A video clip was shared on social media as Coach Prime recorded his journey in his fight against cancer. In the clip, which is dated as May 9th, Sanders can be heard saying that he had to make his will.

“Last night was tough. Yesterday was tough because I had to make a will. It’s not easy at all to think that you might not be here, but you want to make sure everybody’s straight.” Sanders said.

The video was recorded by none other than Deion Sanders Jr. who comforted his father with his words and his presence. The bladder cancer was not the only health scare that Deion Sanders faced. Some time back, two of his toes had to be amputated because of blood clots present.
