Week three of the XFL is here, in a big game between the DC Defenders and the St. Louis Battlehawks. There is a list of Defenders players out vs Battlehawks this week that is important to note. Both of these teams are undefeated, and at the end of the day, only one undefeated team will remain in the north of the XFL. Here is a list of the Defenders players out in week three.

    Defenders Players Out vs Battlehawks

    Briley Moore

Tight end Briley Moore will be out with an ankle injury in week three against the St. Louis Battlehawks. Moore has been dealing with injuries, after being on the injury report last week as well. There was a chance Moore could have been activated for today’s game, being limited the first two days of practice. Unfortunately for Moore, he did not participate the last two days, ruling him out. The Defenders have not had a chance to utilize Moore, and being one of the Defenders players out is okay for the team.

    Mike Maietti

Center Mike Maietti is once again ruled out this week after suffering a lower leg injury in week one. While at first, this injury was a scare for the DC Defenders, the offensive line was able to hold their own in week two, and week one after he was ruled out of the game. In week two, Defenders quarterback, Jordan Ta’amu was sacked just two times, according to the XFL website.

    Cody Conway

Offensive lineman, Cody Conway is another one of the Defenders players out in week three, with a knee injury. This is a tough blow to a team dealing with many injuries on the offensive line right now. The team will need to be careful this week with protecting their quarterback, and stay safe from more offensive line injuries.

    Ty Clary

Ty Clary is another offensive lineman to be ruled out in week three. Clary is listed on the roster as a center, which means he is the second center to be ruled out this week. This is a big game for the Defenders, and without an offensive line, they may struggle against the Battlehawks. Of the Defenders players out this week, this one can hurt the team.

    Caraun Reid

The final one of the Defenders players ruled out vs Battlehawks is defensive lineman Caraun Reid. Fortunately for the Defenders, Reid had just one tackle last week and no stats in week one, according to the XFL website. This is a tough break for Reid, but it should not affect a dominant Defenders defense in a crucial game.

    Defenders Players Ruled Probable

Here is a quick list of the players ruled as probably this week.

    Francis Bernard – LB

    Anthoula Kelly – CB

    Lucky Jackson – WR

    T.J. Storment – OL

The biggest takeaway regarding the Defenders players out this week is that the team is in a tough spot on their offensive line. This will be something to watch for as the team looks to remain undefeated. Luckily, the team’s dominant defense appears healthy this week, which is a big help.

The game will take place today, at 1 PM Eastern.
